Eric B. Smith Principal and Chief Strategist Officer

Eric B. Smith has over 16 years' experience in advanced systems integration, business development, partnership relations and sales. Prior to joining TMX, Smith was a founder, principle and manager of ESnet, where he established and staffed offices in Tokyo-Japan, Taipei-Taiwan, Seoul-Korea, Hong Kong and London. There, he engineered advanced systems with an emphasis on electronic facilitation between design and production for the fashion and textile industries. He has applied his extensive experience in optimizing the use of CAD/CAM and video/digital still technology to implementing business process change for a variety of global clients, including the Taiwan Textile Federation, Liz Claiborne, The Limited - Express, The GAP, Marks & Spencer and West Point Stevens. He secured funding for and helped negotiate the subsequent buyout of ESnet by E.I. DuPont de Nemours (DuPont).

Prior to ESnet, Smith served as President of Image Resources, a systems integration company specializing in industrial CAD and animation. During his tenure there, he established and staffed offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Hong Kong. Past clients of his industrial design and product simulations include Motorola, NASA, SIMNET, Walt Disney World and General Motors.

Smith holds a B.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Computer Engineering.
